It is time for our 2018 Annual General Meeting!

This year’s AGM will include:-

  • Review of our 2017-18 campaigns

  • Budget report

  • Voting in our new board members

  • Voting on new motions

  • Discussion of our projects for 2018-19

Board positions up for nomination: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. The requirements for these offices can be found in our constitution. To be nominated for one of these positions, you must have been a member of the SSS (at any level) for a minimum of 1 year.

 

Other board positions up for nomination: Officers with portfolio and Officers without portfolio. Our present officers include Science Adviser, Human Rights Adviser, History Adviser, and 3 consulting board members.

 

Our AGM is open to all members. This is your chance to become involved and make a real difference with the society. If you are not yet a member, or know someone who would like to become a member, you can join online or at any of our monthly meetings.

  • Participating in our Annual General Meetings & Extraordinary General Meetings,

  • Exclusive voting rights on all Society wide issues,

  • Submitting a motion to the AGM,

  • Nominating and/or running for a board position at our AGM,

Wine reception to follow. Our events and talks are free and open to the public, member and non-members alike. We are a non-profit organisation that receives no funding from external groups or the government. Our campaigns and events are funded by the generous donations of our members and supporters.
